Anushka Sharma Replace Deepika As Brand Ambassador of Parachute

Well, it does seem so. Parachute which has now clearly increased its TG from women to girls and growing girls has opted for Anushka Sharma to replace Padukone as the brand ambassador for their hair oil brand. Anushka has even shot for the new hair oil commercial and the said ad will soon hit the small screen in a matter of time.

Anushka shot to fame as the heroine of the film ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and has now gone on to do another film with Shahid Kapur for director Parmeet Sethi. The reason for Deepika losing out on this brand essentially is due to her increasing prices which are not being workable for the brand that had signed her on earlier for a much cheaper price.

It can be recalled that Deepika got to model for the hair oil brand even before her debut film had hit the silver screen. But then the girl, who started off as the heroine to Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om’, has now been endorsing many products only to realise at the end that she needed to give her dates to those products which paid her a much higher sum. Also the fact that she was endorsing too many products went against her because the brand recall of Parachute could not be associated too much with Deepika Padukone and a survey showed that people did not associate Deepika with it so easily.

Deepika Replaced by Anushka Sharma

A leading hair oil brand has created a rift between two friends, model-turned-actresses Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone, who are both from Bangalore.

The brand decided to drop Deepika as its ambassador and replaced her with “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” actress Anushka Sharma.

According to the brand, Deepika’s exorbitant price was the reason for her outster. She was signed as the brand ambassador even before her entry into films and that also at a very cheap price. But with her growing popularity, she has increased her price a lot.

The other reason was that people failed to identify Deepika with the brand as she has now started endorsing other products also. Anushka Sharma got the ad through Yash Raj Films and she has already shot for the commercial.
